The cynical among us might expect this blog to be all about IRFCU (Indian River Federal Credit Union). After all, we are a “business” of sorts, and many businesses do use social media tools in an effort to sell their wares. But no, this blog really isn’t about IRFCU or it’s offerings.
Others might think that this blog will be about money. After all, IRFCU works with money in a variety of ways: a variety of loans, CDs, checking, savings, credit cards, debit cards, club accounts . . . most of the products and services that a typical bank would offer. And since we’ve been serving Indian River County Florida with the same name on our doors since 1959 (longer than any other financial institution), we certainly are familiar with finances.
Well, those folks would be a bit warmer than that first cynical group, but still not quite on target. Yes, we’ll post quite a bit that deals with money. After all, that’s a significant part of what we do, and it’s one of the main reasons people look to us.
But this blog will really be all about PEOPLE. Our slogan “Where People Are Worth More Than Money”is more than just a catchy phrase. It’s our mission, our purpose. It’s the very reason we exist. We hope that this blog will be a reflection of that.
